About the Job
This is not a traditional HR coordinator role. As an Associate Consultant, you’ll
partner with Cura consultants to support a diverse portfolio of clients across payroll,
benefits, onboarding, compliance, and employee relations. You'll gain broad exposure, contribute to meaningful client outcomes, and develop consulting skills in a fast-moving environment.
What to Expect
Our client needs are always evolving, and this role is ideal for someone who is
up for the challenge of a changing environment, enjoys variety, adapts quickly, and is
comfortable aligning their schedule with shifting project timelines. There will be a ramp-up
period as you build familiarity with our clients, systems, and ways of working. Over time, your
workload and focus may flex as client projects start, pause, and change directions, so success
in this role requires both patience during onboarding and flexibility as priorities shift.
Role Snapshot
- Location: Remote within the Metro Denver/Boulder area; client-facing travel throughout
the region as needed. - Position Status: Full-time flexible (28-40 hours a week) and will consider part-time for
the right candidate scenario. Flexible consulting role requiring consistent availability and
the ability to adjust workload based on client project timing throughout the year. - FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (hourly; time tracking required).
What You’ll Do
- Support payroll administration, including processing, reporting, and audits
- Assist with benefits administration, leaves of absence, and compensation programs
- Maintain accurate and compliant HR records
- Support recruiting efforts (job postings, screening, interview scheduling)
- Execute smooth and welcoming onboarding experiences
- Assist with offboarding activities, including exit interviews and separation documentation
- Support employee relations and investigations (planning, note-taking, and outcome tracking)
- Provide backup support on consulting projects and client deliverables
What We’re Looking For:
Required Experience & Skills
- 2–4 years of HR experience with a focus on people operations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-driven environment
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 and HRIS/payroll platforms
- Clear written and verbal communicator, including client-facing materials
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree

- Pay: $28–$32/hour + approximately $8,000 annual commission opportunity (depending
on schedule) - Commission eligibility is tied to performance and client utilization.
