About the Role

This is not your typical HR coordinator role. As an Associate Consultant, you’ll team up with Cura consultants to support clients with everything from payroll and benefits to onboarding, compliance, and employee relations.

No two days look the same, and because client needs can shift, you’ll need to be flexible and comfortable with a schedule that adjusts to align with client project delivery and completion dates.

Location: Remote – Located in Greater Denver area and ability to occasionally travel onsite for client needs.
Position Status: Full-time flexible – Meaning that this is a job that requires full time availability, and ability to flex with client projects beginning and ending throughout the year.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt – This is an hourly position.

What You’ll Do

  • Jump in on payroll administration (processing, reporting, audits, etc.)
  • Support benefits, leaves of absence, and compensation programs
  • Keep HR records accurate and compliant
  • Help with recruiting (job postings, interview scheduling, screening candidates)
  • Welcome new hires with executing smooth onboarding programs
  • Supporting steps like exit interviews, documentation and separation communications
  • Pitch in on employee relations and investigations (planning, notetaking and tracking outcomes)
  • Provide back-up support to the consulting team on client projects and deliverables

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–4 years of HR experience with a focus in people operations
  • Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and consistency
  • Strong communicator who can draft client-facing deliverables
  • Comfortable juggling multiple, varied tasks and shifting priorities
  • Tech-friendly (Microsoft 365, HRIS and payroll platforms)
  • Organized, adaptable, and confident under pressure
  • Team player who loves building relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Excited to keep learning and growing in HR

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Payroll administration experience
  • A track record of going above and beyond in your work
  • Success managing your own projects in a busy environment

  • Pay: $28–32/hour + ~$6,000 annual commission opportunity
