About the Job

This dynamic role offers growth opportunities across all areas of HR. As an Associate Consultant, you will support clients and collaborate with Cura Consultants on diverse engagements including administering HR programs and project execution. Responsibilities span total rewards, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, offboarding, payroll, policy development, employment law compliance, and HR project execution.

What you will do

  • Support payroll processes, including data entry, timecard audits, approvals, and documentation.
  • Assist with payroll-related tasks including garnishments, unemployment claims, 401(k) audits, and reporting.
  • Administer total rewards programs (benefits, leave, compensation) and address employee inquiries.
  • Provide administrative HR support to consultants and clients.
  • Assist in executing HR operational plans for multiple clients.
  • Ensure HR practices comply with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including new hire paperwork, promotions, performance reviews, terminations, and compliance reporting.
  • Support recruiting efforts by creating job postings, scheduling interviews and screening applicants.
  • Facilitate the new hire onboarding process, including orientation, verifying paperwork, and induction steps.
  • Manage offboarding tasks, such as exit interviews and separation communications.
  • Support leadership in employee relations activities, including notetaking during investigations and outcome tracking.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of producing and presenting quality client deliverables.
  • Skilled relationship builder who fosters trust with colleagues, clients, partners, and vendors.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable and quick to learn new technology, tools, and processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, HRIS, and payroll processing platforms.
  • Professional, confident, and composed under pressure.
  • Results-driven with a focus on exceeding client expectations.
  • Strong organizational skills with effective time management.
  • 2-3 years of business or educational experience, preferably within human resources with a focus on HR operations.
  • Proven ability to prioritize needs and provide a high-level of customer service to team members and clients.
  • Desire for continuous learning and development; engagement and participation in Cura Knowledge Share professional development meetings and events.
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed and for occasional in-person Cura team meetings.
  • Proof of U.S. work eligibility.

Total Rewards Package

  • Compensation: $28.00 - $32.00/hour ($58,240.00 - $66,560.00 annually based on 40-hour workweek) + on-target commission of $8,600 annually.

  • 401(k) Retirement Plan: 100% match on the first 3% of eligible pay.
